A tour with surprise (kiln part 1)

Every year I went to eastern Taiwan for several times, and most of the travels I took trains. However, I am not new to the roads there. Although I'm still faraway from a taxi driver, at least I could lead a touring bus in most parts of eastern Taiwan.
This new year I arranged a tour for my family to Taitung, which means "Eastern Taiwan" in Chinese. It was hard to find hotels during that period, and on the web I found a bed and breakfast in Fuli, just north to the boundary of Taitung County.
After traveling along Provincial Highway 23 (the Tai-23 line), we drove along Provincial Highway 9 (Tai-9 line) and arrived at the B&B when it was almost dark.
The  B&B was located on the east side of Provincial Highway 9.

(The photo was taken in the following morning.)
However we were excited almost immediately, not only because the owner upgraded our room, but also the building we saw.
The B&B was a brick factory more than 10 years ago. After the buildings in Taiwan  began to utilize steel and concrete more and more often, the need for bricks declined. Then the owner began to build the ideal B&B with their own hands, with little help from others.
And the rooms were modified from one of the old kilns.
And the interior of the room was fairly comfortable for us, a parents with 2 children.

The next day I saw the kiln then understood how the kiln was modified into a raw of rooms (and why I had to go to the bed upstairs in the night.)
